About Voices Three
Voices Three have been performing together
since 2006, originally coming together to produce a fundraising
concert , which they performed at the Sid Williams Theatre Courtenay
BC in January 2007. The appreciation they received from their
audience inspired a second all-new concert performed in January
2008. Both of these entertaining evenings raised money for the
Comox Valley Hospice Society (CVHS) and were highlighted by beautifully
blended harmonies, poignant and insightful lyrics, and as each
of these women have a quirky comedic side, many laughs based
on common experiences.
"Standing Ovation in the first
half? Unheard of!!"
From
the edges of self-assertion to orchestrated kazoo rhapsodies,
cheeky and irreverant parodies, monologue characters and X-Large
humour on bathing suit pursuits, these concerts are full of magical
moments that endear these talented women to their audiences.
Adding to the variety are the musical talents of percussionist
Brad Hawkes, and instrumentalists Bruce Wing and Trent Freeman.
Watch for updates as Voices Three prepares for another CVHS fundraising
event in January of 2009.
A live recording of their 2008 Sid Williams Theatre performance has just been released, which gives a zesty sample of what Voices Three have to offer. "Live
and Unleashed" is available online, as well as at their live performances. Visit the schedule page for times and dates of upcoming performances, or visit our contact page if you'd like to book a Voices Three concert in your community.
"We had a great time at the show. You all did
great and people are really talking. That was one of the best shows
I’ve seen in a long time. Fun the whole way through!"
